Two parts of the smartphone can be fixed at angles of 30, 60, 90 and 180 degrees

Currently, only Samsung, Huawei, Motorola and Royole make smartphones that feature foldable screens. However, many companies will soon enter this market too. One of them should be Oppo, whose images of a folding smartphone were found in a recent patent.

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is known for its SuperVOOC fast charging technology and other innovations. Sources claim that in this case it is not just a concept. The manufacturer is indeed developing such a smartphone.

This patent was filed by Oppo with the World Intellectual Property Organization in February but was not approved and published until September 3. Our colleagues at LetsGoDigital have used patent images to create a high-quality 3D model of a smartphone.

The focus of this patent was on the hinge mechanism, which allows the two parts of the smartphone to be locked at angles of 30, 60, 90 and 180 degrees.

Separately, the document says that this hinge mechanism will allow Oppo to create a smartphone whose flexible screen will not have the folds of already released phones.

It looks amazing with full screen display and have almost no bezels of border but comes with a centre hole-punch design located at the  top centre. There could be a quad or triple camera set-up that is placed horizontally on the back panel and a special hing at the middle of the phone that makes the phone to fold into half like many other foldable phones that launched recently.
